Genevieve Harry (Schneider)

BOULDER, Colo. - Genevieve "Genny" Schneider, of Boulder, died of cancer Friday, March 1, 2002, in Louisville, Colo. She was 49.

She was born May 27, 1952, in La Crosse, to John Harry and Mary Pinion Harry. She married Marty Schneider on Nov. 27, 1976, in La Crosse.

Mrs. Schneider worked at Eisenhower Middle School in Schaumburg, Ill. She later worked as a librarian at the University of Colorado, and with her husband in his business, Televiso Corp.

She graduated from Aquinas High School in La Crosse, received a bachelor's degree in history from Rosary College in Park Forrest, Ill., and a master's degree in library science from Emporia State University.

She was in the PTO at Burbank Middle School and a room mother at her children's schools. She was a member of the Boulder Country Club and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

She enjoyed reading and baking and was a member of a book club. "She was a very devoted mother and homemaker, " the family said.

Survivors include her husband of Boulder; two sons, Matthew Schneider and William Schneider, both of Boulder; a daughter, Katheryn Schneider of Boulder; her mother of La Crosse; a brother, Peter Harry of Dallas, Texas; and eight sisters, Barbara Herzog of La Crosse, Sandra Stingl of La Crosse, Margaret Browne of Madison, Wis., Stephanie Branson of Platteville, Wis., and Carolyn Muchow, Gretchen Harry, Elizabeth Harry-Ryan and Jacqueline Harry-O'Keefe, all of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Local services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 S. 13th Street, La Crosse.
