Miss classmates and friends that I made. Have never made such fast and steady friends as in La Crosse. Nowhere that I have lived does it compare. Enjoying life to the hilt. Left my mosquito gun back in Wisconsin. No use for that here. Don't need baths more than once to get rid of the humidity. And have only chisled the windshield 2 times this past winter. No snow shoveling this year. My birthday follows the tulip festival in which people come from all over the world to see the fields in brilliant color. You would never think the color would end.
Beauty is everywhere. Will never do the same thing twice if you don't want to. Close enough to have a snowball fight in shorts or take a romantic trip to the San Juan Islands. Find unique gift shops. Just hours away from Portland by train. Only place in the US where there is an island on an island. Love the waterfalls and deer and deer here. Have a Norweign Village here and finally discovered the albino deer that resides in this gated community.
Am in transition in life now. Don't know where I will end up or go. Thinking of Arizona where I can start my own business since there are tons of retired people needing my nursing background. Might stay here until I can rent a miniature home and travel til I decide on where I want to put myself. I feel like life is just beginning for me now.
